Which fits the way
you want to borrow?

01

Choose a Loan when upfront funding and a fixed rate matter most

  • You need the full amount now.
  • You have a defined financing period and repayment plan.
  • You value a lower annual rate and do not expect frequent borrowing or principal repayments.

Examples include an equipment purchase, a property-related expense or a defined business investment.

02

Choose a Line of Credit when your balance will change or when you need to borrow for less than 12 months

  • You expect to draw funds in stages or borrow repeatedly.
  • You want to repay principal as cash becomes available.
  • You want Bitcoin and Ethereum to support the same facility.
  • You want to be able to borrow in CAD and USDC simultaneously

Examples include working capital, recurring tax instalments and purchases spread throughout the year.

Compare the loan’s early repayment charge with the Line of Credit’s higher annual rate. Knowing the amount you need does not, by itself, determine the cheaper option.

A few more answers

Your Loan vs Line of Credit
questions, answered

Is a crypto line of credit cheaper than a loan?

It depends on your borrowing pattern. A loan has the lower annual rate at each corresponding tier. A Line of Credit can cost less overall if you draw substantially less, borrow later or avoid an applicable loan early repayment charge.

Compare the expected balance over time and the repayment terms—not just the advertised starting rate.

Does my approved credit limit determine my interest rate?

For the APX Line of Credit, your outstanding balance determines your rate tier.

A $200,000 limit with $50,000 drawn falls in the below-$100,000 tier, currently 11.99% annually. Interest applies to the outstanding balance, not the unused $150,000.

Can I borrow more on an existing APX loan?

Yes, through Borrow More, subject to approval and sufficient collateral. Additional funds use your existing loan’s rate and maturity date; each request is reviewed separately.

The Line of Credit provides a revolving facility, so subsequent draws do not require a new loan application. Every draw must still meet your approved limit and current collateral requirements.

Is my unused credit always available?

Available credit changes with your collateral’s market value and your outstanding debt, including accrued interest. Falling crypto prices can reduce what you can draw.

Principal repayments can restore borrowing capacity once they settle. Paying your balance to zero does not automatically close the facility or restart its five-year term.
